Scott Ogden
Scott Ogden was immersed in the world of motorcycling from an early age. His father raced on the Isle of Man and twice finished on the podium at the Manx Grand Prix.
Born in the UK on 16th October 2003, Ogden, like many aspiring riders, got his hands on a PW50 at the age of four before taking part in his first motocross race on a KTM SX50 three years later.
It was only five years later that he decided to switch to tarmac on a Metrakit GP 50, with the aim of one day becoming a MotoGP World Champion.
It didn't take long for the Doncaster-born rider to make a name for himself, winning the GP 70 title on home soil in 2016. In 2017 he switched gears to compete in the Superteens and Kawasaki Team Green Junior Cup.
He finished on the podium 30 times, including 11 wins. An injury put an end to his rise, but his results opened the doors to the British Talent Cup in 2018, where he finished ninth.
His progress continued in 2019 with an impressive run of 10 podiums in 12 races.
He then became the second winner of the British Talent Cup. At the same time he won the British Moto3 title with 14 podiums, including 7 wins, and made his debut in JuniorGP (the former Moto3 Junior World Championship).
In 2020 he finished 18th in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup and 15th in JuniorGP. In 2021 he took his first JuniorGP win at Jerez, finishing sixth in the championship behind David Salvador. In 2022 Ogden made the big step up to Moto3 with Michael Laverty's VisionTrack Racing team. It wasn't an easy year for Ogden, who lost nine races but still managed to score 21 points.
Despite a fine fifth place in Argentina at the start of 2023, he finished the season 23rd overall with 24 points. Now a member of the MLav Racing team, the SHARK rider is hoping for a significant improvement in 2024, determined to reach his full potential on the world stage.
